Journal Entry # 1 I wish someone had told me.....

I Wish someone had told me that joining bridge builders looked good on a college application. Last year when I was in the tenth gradethe people from bridge builders came to my school to talk to us about their program. I wanted to join but I was already taking part in a program similar to bridge builders. I took my ime filling out the application and the due date passed.It was too late.

Where Should I go This Hallowen

Last year around October, I was invited to a Halloween party by some friend who don't go to my school. It was really a children's party and they and and their parents wanted me to help out with by setting up games and food tables. It was the beginning of October and i didn't think that i would be doing anything around then so I said that I would come.

It was almost the end of the month and the day of the party was drawing closer. One day they called and asked me if I was still going to come, nothing had come up and my mind hadn't changed my mind or any thing so I said that i was still going.

The next day at school my friends tell me that they are going to the corn maze on Halloween night {The same day as the party}. Without thinking I said that I was going to the Maze. I had never gotten a chance to go to the corn maze and i really wanted to go. Later on that day at lunch I find that there is also a dance that night and i wanted to go to that as well. I had never missed a MASE dance because they are very fun and I knew that i was bound to have a great time there.
I was then faced with a dilemma, i did not know what to do. I had three choices; Go to the party and help out with the kids with some friends, go to the corn maze that I had never been to, or come to the MASE dance that night.

I started looking at my options, I knew that there wouldnt be a lot going on at the party and I wasnt going to have much fun because all of the kids were all under ten-years-old. I also knew that if i didnt go to the corn maze there wouldnt be another untill next year, MASE has a dance almost every month so i knew that if i missed that I could just catch the next one.

I racked my brain, trying to figure out some way i could make it to each event or which one that i wouldnt mind not going to. I finally decided that i just wouldnt go to the party, but i had made a promise. I decided to just go to the party. I turns out that the party ended just before 8 O'clock i had missed the corn maze but, i was still able to attend the dance. I had a lot of fun at the dance and t he kids party wasnt so bad either. I guess i made the right choice.
